about

For millennia mankind gazed up into the sky, observing the motions of heavenly bodies and wondering about the origin of all things as well as its own destiny. As time went on and technology evolved, we could observe ever larger parts of our surroundings, leading to new questions, like if there are other worlds like ours out there. Recently the search for potentially earth like planets in other solar systems, has increased in importance as we came to realise that one day, we will have to leave our current home planet, in order to secure a future for our species. One of the first and most promising planets discovered within the habitable zone of a star, was Kepler 22b. This track uses real footage from NASA missions and is a tribute not only to mankind’s inquisitive nature but to all the pioneers of space travel – the known names and the unknown.
